Prenatal Care

Each prenatal visit is 1-hour in length so that we have plenty of time to connect and discuss your physical and emotional well being. At each prenatal visit you can expect time to have your questions answered, discussion around topics relevant to your current stage of pregnancy, clinical care including having your blood pressure and pulse taken, having your midwife palpate your baby, measure your fundal height, listen to your baby's heart beat, and time to catch up on whats been going on in your life and how you are feeling about your pregnancy. We know that prenatal care is very important for the long term well being of both mom and baby. We also see that developing a trusting, personal relationship in the prenatal period helps women to trust their body and their care provider when the time comes to surrender to the power of birth.
